Kylie Breanne Whitney

August 16, 2006

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of

Kylie Breanne Whitney on August 16, 2006.

Kylie’s presence is being deeply missed by her parents, Terry and Ann, her brothers, Derek and Tyson, her grandmother Marguerite Howard, her great-aunt Dorothy Thornton, and her many uncles, aunts and cousins. Also missing her are her many friends at Douglas College, London Drugs, and friends up and down Vancouver Island.

Kylie was born in Port Hardy, B.C in 1986 and attended Eagle View Elementary School and Port Hardy Secondary School where she graduated with Honours in 2004. She moved to Vancouver in the same year to attend Douglas College and hoped to get a degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Eventually, she planned to attend law school and become a lawyer.

During her time in Port Hardy, Kylie was active in tap dancing, figure skating, hockey, Brownies, Job’s Daughters, drama, music and peer counseling at Port Hardy Secondary School. She was the editor of the yearbook at Port Hardy Secondary School as well as the editor of the Ocean Watch Pacific Website for the Vancouver Aquarium.

Kylie was a wonderful daughter and sister, and a fantastic friend who cared deeply for those around her. She will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kylie’s name to B.C Epilepsy Society 510-999 West Broadway, Vancouver B.C V521K5.

In Loving Memory
