Born in Vancouver, BC to Eric and Elvera Ericson on June 7, 1946 and passed away on Sept 27, 2013 at his home in Sointula, BC. Leif enjoyed mechanics, photography, reading, and traveling. During his travels he made many new friends and on one of these trips in the early 1970's, met his wife of 13 years while visiting family in Jamtland, Sweden. Leif went on to live in Sointula, BC with his wife and children, making a living as a fisherman on the Alisa-Y. After retiring from fishing he made several trips to Mexico enjoying the sun, the culture and time spent with new friends. The light of his life were his children now residing in Sweden and his grandchildren (Adam 6, Ingrid 5, Elsie 3, and Vera 2) who kept in touch with Grandpa through letters, photos, drawings and phone calls. He is predeceased by parents, Eric and Elvera Ericson and sister Rita. He is survived by his children Therése (Jonas; grandchildren Adam and Vera), Katrina (Henrik; grandchildren Ingrid and Elsie), Clayton (Miriam) in Sweden; Curt (Peter) from NY, Michelle (Norm and children) from BC, sisters Wilma (Dave) and Lorna (Lea), Max (Rita) and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will take place in Sointula, BC at a later date.
