On Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, Lou Champis passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 79.
He was born on July 20th, 1943, in Brantford, Ontario. He became an electrician and married his wife Anne on August 21st, 1965. They moved to Vancouver Island, where they raised their 2 children, Mark, and Sonya.
Lou loved all the Island had to offer. He was a regular camper and didn't care if it was dry camping or glamping. He loved to fish, and his garden was his joy.
Lou was predeceased by his mother Magdalene and his father Louis. He is survived by his wife Anne, his son Mark (Lana), his daughter Sonya (Lance), his brother Dave and his sisters Barb and Mary Ann and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lou will be missed dearly by his family and friends, but he is now at peace.
