79 years, answered the Last Post on July 2, 2003 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Prede-ceased by sister Linda in 1995. Survived by sisters: Gloria, Florence (and family) of Mississauga, Ontario, loving wife Blanche, daughter Lyndsay, granddaughters: Alexandra and Daniella of Langley, daughter Pascale (Ans), granddaughters: Dietlinde, Melissa and Ulrike of Belgium. Louis was born of Italian heritage in Toronto,

Ontario on September 26, 1923. He was a proud World War II veteran who

inspired the youngest generation to value the sacrifices of all veterans. He resided in Winter Harbour, B.C. for 38 years as owner of the Winter Harbour General Store and fish buyer for B.C. Packers. In 1985 he retired to Nanaimo. Louis was larger than life, his family and

friends will forever miss his unique sense of humour, generous nature and warm hospitality. The family extends gratitude to Louis’ dear friends Bob and Jill for their love and endless support. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in Trinity Catholic Church, 6234 Spartan Rd., Nanaimo, B.C. Fr. Oscar Paradiseo celebrant, on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 10:00 am Flowers respectfully declined, donations if desired to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc. Arrangements confidently assigned to Telford’s Mid-Island Memorial Service.
