With profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother Marion Ruth Burroughs last Wednesday at Port Hardy Hospital with family be her side. She is predeceased by her parents, Hartley and Kate Fisher and by her beloved husband Jack.
Marion is survived by her sister Jean McKenzie of Salmon Arm, BC, her children Larry Burroughs (Lynn) of Sointula, Sharon Goudzwaard (Hans) of Nanoose Bay, Verlie Burroughs of Port Hardy, Don Burroughs of Calgary and George Burroughs (Babe) of Port Hardy, grandchildren David Burroughs, Jessica Burroughs, Lee Goudzwaard, John Burroughs, Barclay Burroughs, Lannie Burroughs and Adrian Walker-Burroughs, sister-in-law Mae Burroughs of Parksville, sister-in-law Dorothy Hopkins of Castlegar, brother-in-law Jim Burroughs of Port Alberni, nieces and nephews, Jim and Janice Armstrong, Bev and Frank Byce, Bobbie and George Harrison, Bruce and Brenda Burroughs, Jacie Hauschka, Gary Burroughs, Lynn McKenzie, Donna and Keith Miller, Bonnie and Stan Kostrin and Barry Hopkins and a large extended family of great nephews ad nieces.
Marion will be missed by all who knew her, especially her dear friend Kay Brown, friends Norm and Joan Flanagan, bingo pals Lillian Johnny, Dorothy Wasden and Irene Linthorne and her caring neighbours Tim and Brenda Molloy.
Following Marion’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to a celebration of her life next Saturday, December 11 at Port Hardy Civic Centre from 11am to 2pm.
