The family of Mary are saddened to announce her passing on March 22, 2022.
Mary was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, married to Ed Beck who together raised seven children. She lived in Ontario for a few years then moved to Port Alice, BC in 1972.
Mary enjoyed golfing, darts, dancing, long walks and swimming. She was a Member of the Royal Canadian Legion #180 as well as the Ladies Auxiliary for many years.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Ed Beck, daughters; Karen Rubin and Carol Hawthorne, two grandsons; Shane and Timmy Friesman, as well as her five brothers; Charles, Ed, John, Cyril and Herb Fader.
Mary is survived by her sister Helen Muggridge, children; Patsy Bailey, Jeff Beck, Wanda Beck, Ted Beck and Terry Beck. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mary's last eleven years were spent in Eagle Ridge Manor in Port Hardy, BC where she was very happy and very well taken care of. Mary's family would like to thank the staff there for looking after our mother so well.
As per Mary's wishes, there won't be a service for her.
