Norman William Hemphill


Born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, October 11, 1926 - died July 5, 2006 in Campbell River Hospital. Predeceased by his loving parents, two sisters, and three brothers, Norman leaves behind two sisters: Edna Lockyer, Calgary, Alberta; Colleen (Elvin) Holtz, Red Deer, Alberta. His loving wife, Jean, and his adult children were by his side when he peacefully fell asleep after a lengthy illness. Norman leaves behind four sons and three daughters: Larry (Carolyn) Hemphill, Langley, BC; Harry (Karen) Hemphill, Campbell River, BC; Bob  (Colleen) Hemphill, Port Hardy, BC; Richard (Norma) Hemphill, Victoria, BC;  Kathi (Chris) Camilleri, Campbell River, BC; Arlana (Dwayne) Christensen, Campbell River, BC Gillian (Tom) Hannah, Powell River, BC: and two stepchildren; George J.R., Richmond, BC; Jim, Hinton, Alberta: nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Norman was so proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and loved them all dearly, thanking God every morning for each of them. He will be missed by all. A celebration of Norman’s life will be held at St. Columba’s Church, Port Hardy, BC on Saturday, July 15, 2006, at 2:00 pm.
