In Loving Memory of

Patricia Georgie Plaxton Airth Woodrow

Patricia courageously battled a lengthy illness. After a brief stay in the Port Hardy Hospital, she passed away peacefully on August 15, 2010 with Family by her side.

Pat was born in Toronto, Ontario on August 2, 1936. She was the eldest of four children. In her early teenage years her family moved to Calgary, Alberta where she completed high school and went on to graduate from the ‘Fine Arts School’ of Alberta. She was employed by Birks, The Banff Springs Hotel and as a dental assistant to name a few.

She was married to Garth for a number of years and they raised their three children in Calgary, Alberta; Germany and Victoria, BC.

While in Victoria Pat went on to Graduate from Camosun College. After returning to Calgary, she was employed by Texas Petroleum. In the late 90’s Pat came to Port Hardy to visit her daughter and family and eventually chose to reside there. She had many fond memories of the warm and caring people she grew to know during that time.

During her lifetime Pat had enjoyed traveling, skiing, golfing, sewing and raising her family. She had a keen interest in and a knack for Interior Design. She was quick witted and was always willing to share her knowledge and advice if asked. She had a great love of children and always managed to light up a room with her smile and laughter. One of her greatest joys in life was her family and spending time with them no matter where she was. Pat will be dearly missed but will forever be held close in our Hearts.

Pat was predeceased by her parents William Bertram and Georgie (nee Plaxton) Airth of Calgary, Alberta

She is survived by her brother, Bert Airth and sisters Gail (Hector) McFadyen and their children Julie (Trevor), Shannon, Vicki of Calgary, Alberta and Susan (Dave) Wehrhahn of Canmore Alberta (Janice, Lisa and children of Alberta)

She is also survived by her three children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law and seven grand-children. Her sons Bruce Woodrow of Vancouver, BC and Randy (Terri) Jeffery, Randy, Gabriel Woodrow of Calgary, Alberta and daughter Penny (Jeff) Jeffry, Brittany, Tyson, Parker Brent of Port Hardy, BC. She had four great nieces Claire, Katie, Cloey and Sol; a great nephew Travis; and numerous cousins. Pat is also survived by her former spouse Garth (Audrey) Woodrow of Burnaby, BC.

A Funeral Service will be held in Calgary, Alberta in September.
