It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Oickle; husband, father, foster-father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many who knew and loved him. Peter passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 3, 2018, at Vancouver General Hospital with his wife, Irene, at his side. Son of Reginald and Jeannie Oickle, he is survived by {Anne (Walter) Kohut, Linda (Darrell) Krenzler, Mary Whitworth, and Victor (Joy) Oickle}, his wife of 30 years, Irene, first wife Peggy, sons Benjamin (Pam), Reggie (Ranette), Kevin (Sarah) and Edan, grandchildren Nolan, Emily, Riley, Xander, Zaine, Jace, Hannah, Zoe and Cole;foster sons, nieces and nephews, cousins and cherished friends. Peter was pre-deceased by his parents Reginald and Jeannie.

Peter spent many of his earlier years logging as well as commercial fishing and at that time, grew to love life on the ocean. Most recently, he worked in a logging camp for Western Forest Products. Peter loved coming home on weekends and spending time with his wife and foster children. He loved

spending time tinkering and making things work. His love of outdoors was spent hiking, skiing, biking or strolling with his family. Over the years he and his youngest son enjoyed fly-fishing and sport fishing. Peter loved his church (SDA) and was always faithful in doing what he could with the time he had. He walked in complete trust that God had a plan for our lives until God finally laid him to rest.
