Ray passed away suddenly at home in Port McNeill, March 2, 2018. Born in Vancouver, he grew up in South Burnaby.

Predeceased by his mother, Helen Aho and father Art Rosback.

Survived by his dear wife of 60 years Meryn. Sister Sonja Haensgen ( Gary), children, son Clifford (Pita) and daughter Catherine, grandchildren , Natasha, Hanna-Ray, Thor & Zaida Rosback, niece Krista Scanlon (John).

Ray and Meryn travelled extensively over the years and regularly enjoyed winter stays in Mexico. Ray arrived on the North Island in the early 50's and joined his dad in the Beaver Cove Logging Camp, after a period of time he decided to become an entrepreneur beginning with a water taxi business, Shop-Rite Store, Surfer Boat Manufactures and Echo Bay Hotel just to name a few.

In his early days on the North Island he enjoyed boating the coastal waters, fishing and at one time flying his own plane. He had a real passion for sketching and water colors, and loved to collect anything vintage especially fishing gear.

He was born a businessman-truly his passion. He had a dramatic personality and always had time to tell a story or give a little advise, whether you wanted it or not.

As per his wishes there will not be a service.
