1941 - 2002
Died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 25, 2002. Robert was well know. Besides his many dear friends, he is survived by Pat Gwynne, his partner of 25 years, her children Maia (Garth), Robin (Joanne), Amanda, their grand-children Aleister, Cathryn, Olivia and Meggan.
After graduating from Guelph University in 1966 he came west to teach at Simon Fraser University. That year the staff went on strike and Robert went fishing. He finally settle in Comox where he met Pat in 1976. Pat, Robert and the 2 youngest children moved to Holberg in 1978. In 1981 they bought the Scarlet Ibis and have been there ever since.
