It is with deep sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of our
precious husband, Dad and “Papa”, Robert Lawrence Crookall.? In his
last days he was surrounded with the love of his wife of 55 1?2? years,
May, their 4 children – Judy (Bob), Penny (Joey), Louise (Dennis), Bob (Tammy), 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, Breeanna (Ryon – Tanner, Hailey), Nicole (Chris – Savannah), Jennifer (Mike – Damen, Jeneka, Ty, Jaden, Kiana, Kyra) James, Corin (Ken – Melissa, Ethan), Stephen (Rosie – Kashia, Peyton), Kevin (Averil – Brock, Malia), Lorilee (Brody), Kelsey, Amy, Nicholas, Emily and predeceased by Natalie. ?Bob was born in Vancouver on May 13, 1929.? His family lived in Surrey for many years before moving to Port Hardy in 1967. ?Bob was the Superintendent of Public Works for the District of Port Hardy for over 20 years where he was known for his vast contributions to the community. ?Bob and May retired to Parksville where he enjoyed his
bowling, golfing and gardening. Bob was respected and loved by all who knew him including his two “adopted” sons, Kevin and Mark and their families.? In lieu of flowers the family will be accepting donations towards the planting of a MEMORIAL TREE.? A Celebration of Bob’s life was held in Port Hardy on Saturday, February 25, 2006.
