In Memory ~
Sandra Norma Bellamy, of Woss B.C., sadly passed away, at age 73, on December 26 at home, in Woss B.C., with her family & friends surrounding her with love and comfort. Sandra suffered from lung disease, and she is now at peace.
Sandra was born September 15 1948 in Port Coquitlam B.C. and was predeceased by her parents, John and Norma, her sister Verna, and her beloved Spaniel, Rocky. She is survived by her sisters, Debra and Lenora, her children Dale and Lara (Graeme), and her grandchildren Claudia (Adam), Aldous, and Ursula. Her first great-granddaughter is expected in mid-February by Claudia and Adam.
Sandra was a true pioneer woman, preferring the rural, small town lifestyle she found in places like Tahsis, Salt Spring Island, Squamish, and Woss. As a trained horticulturist, she was never happier than when she was puttering around in her gardens. When not gardening, she could be found creating in her kitchen, or at her sewing table. She was an avid historian and would often remind us of our own family's past.
She was a nature and animal lover, owning horses in her youth, and always had a canine companion by her side. The residents of Woss will fondly remember the sight of Sandra, with her best friend Rocky, as they explored their adopted town and favourite walking trails.
The family extends their thanks and appreciation to her caregivers and all who gave so generously of their time and friendship to help Sandra during her illness and her final days.
