Shirley Logan

October 2, 2006

It is with great sadness and sorow that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mom, wife, aunt, sister and nana.

Shirley Louise Logan left our lives on October 2, 2006.

Shirly (mom) will be remembered by her husband, soul mate and the love of her life for 44 years, James: her daughter, her greatest follower, Boni (Chris) Sharpe, her son and next favorite man in her life, Stephen.

Shirley also leaves behind the six luckiest grandchildren in the world. Her first grandson, Tyler, brother Trevor, and little brother Jacob.

Nana’s punkin Kendra, her hunny bun, Kerrigan (sissy), and her youngest grandson Koen. Shirley is also survived by her sister Myrna, sister Lavona (Betty), sister Irene, and brother George, along with many more family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Shirley first devoted her life to her family and to the many friends that meant so much to her. She loved to help where help was needed! If you were to sum up in one word what Shirley, my mom was, it would have to be compassionate. Ask around and everyone knew who she was. Nana Spice, Nana Logan, Nana Shirley, she was everyone’s Nana. My mom loved camping with my dad, she loved hunting, and she loved life. She truly leaves a big whole in many hearts.

“When we have done all the work we were sent to earth to do, we are allowed to shed our body, which imprisons our soul like a cocoon encloses the future butterfly and when the time is right, we can let go of it and we will be free of pain, free of fears and worries, free as a very beautiful butterfly returning home to God.”

quoted by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross.

We miss you already…and we truly were blessed by having you in our lives.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the COPS for Cancer 2007 at Sunset School Office or the RCMP office in Port McNeill.
