Sidney passed away peacefully on September 12, 2009 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She is lovingly remembered by her fiancé Bill Tallio; her mother Mildred Child and father Ted Child; children: Abraham Sheena and Ema Sheena; siblings: Tom, Mervin, Ted, Chris, Sarah and Sue; grandchildren: Justin Speck, Sue-Ann Sheena, Senica Sheena and Bryan Sheena; plus many close relatives and friends.
Sidney spend many years of her life in the fishing industry. She was a beautiful and loving woman who avidly respected and protected Mother Earth. She demonstrated this by initiating a recycling depot in her community of Fort Rupert and started plans for an organic garden and a greenhouse.
A Celebration of Life was held at the Fort Rupert Hall on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
