Susan Dianne Rushton

In Loving Memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that the Rushton family announce the passing of Susan Dianne Rushton - aka"Sweet Pea." Susan passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Port McNeill Hospital, with family by her side.

Susan was born in Sussex, England on March 24, 1946, to her parents Winnie and Nyle Sinclair. At only a few months old, Susan and her mother sailed from England on the RMS Queen Mary to join her father in Canada. They eventually settled in Nakusp, BC where Susan's brothers, Bob, Earl, and David were born.

It is there that she met the love of her life, Dave. She and Dave were married on July 24, 1965. Shortly after marrying, they relocated to Woss, BC, where they raised their sons, Bill and Alan. Susan loved living in Woss and considered it "home" until the day she passed.

Susan was predeceased by her loving husband Dave, her parents Winnie and Nyle and brother, Earl.

Susan was a loving mother to Bill (Denise) and Alan (Aleta)and a proud grandmother to Ryan, Lucas, Alexa, Kyle, and Shanton.

The Rushton family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and Care Aides that took such wonderful care of Susan at the Port McNeill Hospital, during her extended stay. They treated her like a queen, made her a part of their families and even gave her jobs to do when she felt up to it. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

Please join us for a Celebration of Susan's life on Saturday, July 5th at 1:00 pm at the Woss Community Hall.
