It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terry.
Although Terry (Garth) was born in Prince Rupert, he grew up in Bella Coola where he enjoyed 28 years of fishing, hunting and working in the great outdoors. Terry spent 20 years working in the forestry industry on the mainland, then moved to Vancouver Island in 1996, spending 10 years in Port Hardy and the last 3 years in Duncan.
He was predeceased by his father Melford Solhjell as well as his grandparents.
Left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing are his mother Gloria Solhjell; sisters Linda Solhjell with sons Kyle & Jesse Gerrard, Margaret Worthington (Terry) with Garret & Brendan; common-law-wife Marilyn Bishop with stepdaughters Kira & Aubrey Gehlen as well as all the friends he met along the way.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday July 11, 2009 at 390 Dogwood Avenue, Duncan BC starting at 2:00pm.
