In loving memory ~

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Carroll Molloy on March 12, 2025, In Victoria, B.C.

He passed peacefully from the debilitating Alzheimer's world to a place where he can finally be free doing the things he loved most.

Tim was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1945, moving with his parents and sister, Maureen, to Powell River, B.C. where he spent his formative years fishing, playing hockey and football and exploring the great outdoors. It was here where he met his future wife of 58 years, Brenda. Together they welcomed 3 wonderful daughters and moved their young family to

Port Hardy, B.C. Tim was employed as a Forest Engineer with MB Ltd until his retirement in 2004.

Tim spent those 52 years in Port Hardy doing what he enjoyed most - spending time with his family. His time was spent camping (sometimes forgetting the tent), playing hockey, baseball, curling and, of course, golf (where he could have thrown a club or two in frustration). Their backyard garden, which brought them great joy, produced a bounty of vegetables and flowers which they shared with many. Much of this bounty was preserved and coveted by the family members.

Especially treasured were the Zucchini Relish and Pickled Beets.

A short walk from our home, Storey's Beach brought Tim and his family so much joy. The local fishing grounds, walks with Shilo, hikes and evening beach fires leave so many memories. His grandchildren were a highlight in his life. His teaching of his love of the outdoors, sharing sports knowledge and being part of their life journeys were very important to him.

Tim had a love of politics and there was always time to share his strong opinions and thoughts about what was happening in the world. He could sit and talk for hours about his interests with a debate sometimes occurring. Later in life, his love for motorcycles brought him to Sturgis, South Dakota, Pacific Northwest, Midwestern States and Western Canada. The exhilaration of the open road made him smile.

Most of all, Tim was a family man with a calm spirit, strong values and an unwavering commitment to his faith.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Brenda, his three daughters Mari-Anne, Angelique and Michelle. He is also survived by his sister, Maureen and grandchildren, Karley, Jenna, Dryden, Reilly and Julia.

We would wish to sincerely thank the staff and caregivers at Veterans Memorial Lodge for the exemplary care given for the past 2 years, especially during his last days.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Hardy Bay Seniors Center.
