It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved

husband, father and grandfather who died after a 4 year struggle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Hilde; son John; daughter Kiki; son-in-law Rob; grandson Blake and the unborn granddaughter he was so anxiously waiting for, along with many friends. He was predeceased by his father John, Mother Emilie, and brother’s Peter, John, Wally and Bob. He will also be sadly missed by his siblings and their families: Dave (Donna), Jim (Shirley), Ed (Erna), Laura (Geordie) and Vera (Bill). Bill was very devoted to his family. His caring nature and loving presence will forever be missed. Bill was born in Chilliwack BC, but spent most of his life working in the woods on the North Island, doing various jobs, and in his later years running grader. He retired from the forest industry after 40+ years of service, most of it with Western Forest Products. Bill was known for his humor. The endless “True” stories of his childhood and time working in the woods will be greatly missed. A special thanks to our extended family, Glenis and Vic for all their help and support, and to the Home Care Nurses in Campbell River for providing such wonderful care and showing such compassion during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Campbell River Hospital or the Canadian Red Cross. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at a later date.
