Five teams took to the court in the Port Hardy High School this weekend for the inaugural Spiker's Volleyball Tournament.
Organizer Balwinder Bal said the tournament got a "good response" and looked forward to the event becoming an annual fixture.
Bal's Spikers won the tournament, beating out the Quatsino side in the final. MVPs for the day were Shane King and David Brotchie.
Anyone interested in taking up the sport is invited to come to the PHSS gym on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8 p.m. for the community volleyball sessions.
