Former Port McNeill Fire Chief Tasos Baroutis, who recently stepped down from the position due to wanting to spend more time with his family, was given a touching sendoff at the town’s last council meeting on Monday.
Port McNeill Mayor Shirley Ackland awarded him a pin, and members of Port McNeill Fire Rescue came out to say goodbye to their former chief, presenting him with his old helmet.
