Bruce was born in New Westminster and spent his growing up years on the McLeod farm on 56th Ave. in Langley, the current location of Christian Life Assembly, Langley Secondary School and the McLeod Athletic Park. He married Edna Seifred on September 20th, 1946. His work took him to many places throughout BC including Quesnel and Port Hardy and he retired to Langley in 2001. Bruce is survived by Edna, his wife of 57 years, his seven children: Dorothy & Barry Friesen of Prince George, Marjorie & Bob Sales, Quesnel, Darlene & Thomas Richardson, Langley, Lynn & Ross Hadfield, Vernon, Grant McLeod & Ann Stackhouse, Quesnel, Gary & Carole McLeod, Charlottetown, PEI, and Doug & Kathy McLeod, Port Hardy, 12 grandchildren: David (Lisa), Dwayne(Tracy), Dawna (Brad), Dan (Bekah), Randy, Scott, Mike, Dana, Kevin, Erin, Richard & Joe, and 4 great grandchildren: Thaia, Madeleine, Nicholas and Delaney.

Bruce was known for his quiet wit and his love of the ocean. He was always ready to engage in conversation about current affairs, machinery, tugboats, logging and many other topics. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all. In June, he acknowledged his need of a Saviour and on September 29th, was carried into the arms of Jesus after a short battle with cancer.

Following a private family burial, a memorial service will be held in the chapel at Christian Life Assembly, 21277-56th Ave., Langley on Friday, October 3rd at 1:00 with refreshments following.
