It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Ward on May, 31st, 2023. He was born Sept. 12, 1947 in Weyburn Sask.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 57 years, Lynn; 2 daughters, Sandra-Lynn Dewitte and Leah-anne Ward; 2 granddaughters Casey and Brynn. He is survived by his sister Judith Lissa.
He lived and worked in Port McNeill for 51 years. Over the many years, he could always be found smiling behind the automotive parts counter or serving the public at the many, many Lions Club functions or events. David finished his working life at Jeune Landing for Western Forest Products.
He enjoyed boating and exploring the north island and the surrounding waters. David served for 15 years in the local volunteer fire department.
