It is with much sadness that we say goodbye to

Don Gordon.

Don passed away peacefully on November 15, 2009 after a very brief battle with cancer.

Don was predeceased by his parents Anna and Richard, brother Roy, son Arnie (Kathy),

granddaughter Mackenzie.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mavis and family Kari (Roy), Don (Tanya), Trina (Bill), Cory (Kelly), Dan (Melody) as well as his grandchildren Eric, Scott, Stephanie, Britanie, Taylor, Taya, Lucas, Taryn, Danyka, Rhianna, Dayton, Kaileigh and Brodie.

Don was born on June 2, 1948 in Vancouver, BC and spent his childhood years in Nanaimo, BC.

Don moved to Port Hardy around 1968 after accepting employment with MacMillan Bloedel Ltd. as a welder.

Don remained with the company for almost 42 years even throughout the changes and moves the company made he enjoyed his job and the people he worked with.

Don loved sports, playing ball and curling in his younger years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping with the Rupert Arm and the Vernon Lake Campers. Mavis and Don spent many hours at Vernon Lake and it was some of his happiest times fishing on lake early in the morning with his own thoughts and plenty of fish.

Don had many wonderful friends and enjoyed spending time with them solving the problems of the world and sharing a few beer.

He was a great friend, husband, father and grandfather he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
