Born December 2nd, 1938 in Steinbach, Manitoba and a Vancouver Island resident since 1969, passed away in Duncan, BC on January 3rd, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ron; daughter Shaunne (Mark) Rowbottom; sons Sheldon (Donna) and Darell (Myra); and daughter Kimberly (Donald) Smith. Doreen was a loving Nana to Brayden and Evan; Curtis and Alana; Tiffany and TaiLynn; Dominique and Nicolas. Many close friends on the North Island and family and friends in Manitoba will also remember her fondly. A kind and loving person who touched many hearts, Doreen will be sadly missed by all. In honour of her wishes, there will not be a formal service. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Doreen’s memory to the Cowichan District Hospital would be appreciated.
