February 3, 1965 - July 27, 2023

In loving memory ~

Peacefully, in his 58th year, at his home in Port Hardy, B.C., on July 27, 2023.

Predeceased by his mother Florence Mikkelsen (nee Grandmont), Paul is survived by his father Walter of Powell River, B.C., and his two sisters Karen Eger (Scott) of Edmonton, AB, and Susan of Kitchener, ON.

Paul was born on February 3, 1965, in Val d'Or, QC. He attended school in Winnipeg, MB, and in Powell River, B.C., graduating from Max Cameron Collegiate in 1983. He spent several years studying (UBC, BCIT) and working in Vancouver before settling in Port Hardy in 2004, where he found a home while working in marine electronics at Stryker Electronics. During his 19 years with Stryker, his colleagues became his family, and he will be missed by both the Stryker Family and his loyal customers. Paul loved the outdoors, enjoyed sport fishing as well as travel to remote locations to work onsite repairing or upgrading his customers' electronic systems. He was known by some as the man with the waffle iron (and everything that goes with it) in the back of his truck, just in case. Paul will be remembered as a caring man with a lively sense of humour. While Paul loved his work on marine vessels, he never wanted to be too far away from land, preferring the beautiful scenery of Port Hardy and the North Island as viewed from shore.

The cremation has taken place at Comox Valley Funeral Home in Campbell River. A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held in Port Hardy at a future date.
