It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helge, Julian Johnson (known by most as Joe) on July 15, 2023. Joe passed away in the Port McNeill Hospital with his wife Dianne Johnson, his sister Arlyn Lind (nee Johnson) and niece Gail Lind, at his bedside.
Joe is survived by his wife Dianne Johnson, stepson Christopher Wood, (spouse Danielle Martin) their son Dexter Wood, Joe's sister, Arlyn Lind, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
The medical community in Victoria, Campbell River, Port Hardy, Port McNeill, and Port Alice are to be commended for the efforts made to provide Joe with the best care possible. We would like to thank you all for your kind compassion and for guiding our family through this journey.
We would also like to thank our family members, neighbours and friends near and far, for your support while Joe was in treatment and since his passing.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2024 so that family members and friends from distant places will be able to attend.
