Kenneth (Ken) Frank Simpson passed away at home in Port Hardy B.C. on March 13, 2023, at the age of 65.
Ken is predeceased by his father, Frank Simpson and his mother, Mabel Simpson. As well as his beloved dog, Tippy.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Juliette of seven years. They were married in Victoria, B.C. on Feb 21, 2016. They were together for ten wonderful years.
Ken is lovingly remembered by his sons, James A. Simpson and Jason A. Simpson in Victoria. As well as his sister, Trudy Laing; sister, Lois Caldwell (Ted) and brother Jim Simpson (Evie). He is also survived by his niece, Sandra Boyd (Fenton); and many other nieces (great), nephews (great) and cousins.
Ken was born in Vancouver B.C. on October 14, 1957. He attended high school at Port Alice and at NISS in Port McNeill B.C. He worked as a welder at Utah mines for about 10 years. He also worked as a baker after receiving his Baker's certificate. He started his own company in 2003, Olympic Pest Control which he ran till his passing.
Ken loved his music and played drums for years in several bands as a late teen and into his early twenties. He enjoyed playing his guitar, a Gibson that his father gave him. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and enjoyed many trips with his wife and friends. He enjoyed driving Ms. Trudy on their little jaunts around town.
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 1 pm at the Port Alice Royal Canadian Legion.
