Kenneth John Palfenier
Born September 17, 1959. Deceased May 25, 2005. Loving husband to Debra, father to Robert, Christopher, son of Al (Otto) and Teresa (predeceased May 1985) Palfenier. Stepfather to Krystin and Kory Shiels (Thomas). Grandfather to Luke, Lindsay and Tianni. Survived by his brother Michael and sister Mary Margaret Ann (Margo) (Dale) Braconnier. Friend to many.
Ken went to be with His Lord Jesus Wednesday at 1:45pm. With his arms wide open we know he was received into his Heavenly home. Ken will be remembered as a Minister of the gospel that loved the First Nation people. It was this call on his heart that led him from the streets of Vancouver to missions in Mexico and finally to his final home in Port Hard. He will be fondly remembered as “Pastor” Ken with a warm smile, a huge heart and his hat that said “Pray Until Something Happens”. He will be remembered for his white van that declared “Jesus is Lord”. Ken believed in helping all and was led to feed over 50 people a week. Those he fed will remember his love, his caring and his banana bread.
Ken’s life was a light. It is summed up in the words of the song “Go Light Your World”.
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the lonely, tired and worn
Carry your candle go light your world
Seek out the helpless, deceived and poor
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, go light your world.
Honey, I will always love you and you will be forever in my heart.
Love you
