Passed away suddenly and peacefully surrounded by family at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, BC.

Maxine is predeceased by her daughter Michele, and is survived by her sons Sean (Marnie), Patrick (Sarah), and her daughter Jennifer (Dan), as well as her many grandchildren whom she adored.

Maxine spent her life in British Columbia, living in the interior, on Vancouver Island, and then in Vancouver and White Rock.

Originally working in hospitality, Maxine retired and then spent her time volunteering for community councils, working in local politics, and becoming passionately involved in the West End Community Centre. She was honored as Volunteer of the Year of WECCA, and one of her legacies is the 'Kitchen Project', which was completed in 2016.

Maxine loved to travel, and spent many happy times in places all over the world. She had a wicked sense of humour, and was a friend to many. She will be missed.

In her memory, the family ask that donations be made to Sources, specifically the Smart Recovery Program within the Families and Children branch, from which she benefited immensely. https://sourcesfoundation.ca/give/
