Our wonderful Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Auntie, Great Grandmother and dear friend passed away peacefully in Alert Bay on March 6, 2009.
Mildred (Middie) Uhl (nee Souch) leaves her two sons David and Ronnie, sister Louise (Souch-Higginson), Grandchildren Lesley, Jamie, Danielle, Darrell and Shannon, and six great grandchildren to carry on her great gifts of love, humour and wisdom.
Mildred Uhl (Souch) was born near the mouth of the Nimpkish River and, with her husband Paul (d), spent her life in Englewood, Hyde Creek and Alert Bay. ‘Granny Middie’ has left us to join Paul, her son Leslie and her brothers Allen and Leslie (Souch) to make sure the spirit of the ‘Memphis Girls’ is alive and well in the great beyond.
A celebration of Middie’s life will be held at the Alert Bay Legion at 1:00 pm on April 4, 2009.
