Lasota - Raymond Peter

May 3, 1931

February 3, 2006

It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Ray's passing. Born in Borden, Saskatchewan, Ray moved to British Columbia in 1940.

So many loved Ray and he enriched all of our lives with his hearty laugh, endless generosity and caring nature. He was a master of telling jokes and we will all remember his wonderful storytelling. Ray was a proud husband, father and papa. He is survived and will forever be missed by his loving and devoted wife Helen, with whom he had just celebrated his 43rd wedding anniversary on December 28th. Loving and missing him are his children, daughter Angela (Ed), Raymond (Leslie), Jeffrey (Gina), Joe (Karla), and his ten precious granddaughters, Scottia-Lynn & Shayna, Rebecca & Kaityn, Brittanii, Cassadii, Kenadii & Avarii, and Kelsey & Kaylee. Also mourning his loss is his twin brother Henry, and brothers Steve, Jimmy & Wally, and sister Josie.

A dedicated and hard-working man, Ray and Helen started their road building business "Lasota Contracting" in Kokish, B.C. in 1969. In 1983 he movedhis family to Port McNeill. Since his retirement in 1998 his son Jeff has proudly kept the company going.

Join us celebrating Ray's life at 1pm on Saturday, February 11th, 2006 at the Port McNeill Lions Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
