Crowther-Richard John “Dick” of Cumberland; original home-steader of Oakover Arm, Powell River passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2002, aged 87. Predeceased by his wife Ivy Margerite, sister Nancy and daughter Diana. He is survived by his children; Barbara, Geraldine, Ivy, Steve, Roy and Bill along with their spouses and his grandchildren. Richard spent most of life on the coast; working in Commercial Fishing and Logging Industry; retiring to Cumberland with his son Bill and Colleen. Special thanks to Cumberland Intermediate Health Centre and St. Joseph’s Hospital Long Term Care. Private cremation arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay.
