With her husband and son by her side, Ruth Johnson lost her valiant battle with cancer on Dec 30, 2021. A kind and caring woman with an amazing outlook on life, Ruth faced her challenges with dignity and grace. Family was very important to Ruth and she was unwaveringly devoted to her beloved husband James, to her son Robert Anderson, and to her canine family Charlotte and Ellie.
Ruth was predeceased by her mother Laura Gagnon (2008) and her father Hubert A'Hearn (2005). She leaves behind to mourn her loss her husband Jim, son Bob, sisters Rose Davidson, Linda Lieder, Louise Hiltz, and Paulette Vinette, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and her best friend Valerie Bolichowski.
The family is profoundly grateful for the excellent care provided by Dr. Jessica Macleod, the doctors and nursing staff at the BC Cancer Clinic, the Hospice Home Care team and the many health care professionals at the Port Hardy Hospital who made her last days more comfortable.
