After living a full life, mom passed away in Alert Bay, BC, surrounded by family.
Mom’s house was the central gathering place for the neighborhood and everyone knew they could always drop in for freshly baked pie. She had a great sense of humor and was full of wisdom and counsel.
She is survived by her mother Vera Kerr, five children, Lola and husband Mike, Dean, Terry and wife Carla, Dale and wife Vicki, Carole and husband Joe, fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sisters Jeanne and Vera, brothers John and Doug, many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. She is pre-deceased by her father John, husband Eric, sisters Alice, Mary and Emma, and brothers Steve and Eddie.
Following a Celebration of Life at Christ Church in Alert Bay on January 10, 2007, the community joined the family at the Legion for a reception. Thank you to the Lions Club, the Hospital Auxiliary and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary for providing beautiful surroundings and food.
