Born June 22, 1909, Viscount, Sask., passed away peacefully in Port McNeill Tuesday, July 30th, 2002 at the age of 93.
Verna arrived in Alert Bay in the early 1940’s and established and ran the Totem Cafe for many years; moving on to be dietician for St. George’s Hospital until she retired.
Predeceased by husband Jack and survived by son Paddy Hinton (Christina) grandchildren, Meghan and Aaron, great-grandchildren, Calvin and Shania Lutz.
The family wish to extend special thanks to the nursing staff of Port McNeill Hospital for their considerate care of Verna in her final days.
